About Sonibral

Sonibral was created by a composer after finding conventional binaural beat techniques uninspiring.

The project grew out of a simple problem: plain sine wave binaural beats became tedious to listen to, but I wanted to explore what could be done without needing music underneath them. So I began treating the binaural system itself like an instrument, adding binaural overtones, colored noise, and continuous movement.

Its tones, overtones, and noise are generated in real time and evolve slowly and unpredictably, never repeating in quite the same way. That became the foundation of the original Sonibral.

Sonibral now combines that engine with music composed for the app. The binaural synth becomes part of the music itself, forming an evolving tonal foundation while its parameters remain adjustable in real time.

The entire audio engine runs live on your device using DSP techniques found in modern synthesizers and musical instruments, allowing Sonibral to be continuously changing and shaped by the listener rather than simply playing back a finished recording.
